Welcome to the Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a vibrant young College dedicated to Engineering education with international standards and local vision.

Our College is specialised in Engineering education because we strongly believe that Engineering is the future. Engineering offers the most dynamic, responsive, broad, rewarding and engaging range of knowledge and skills that are needed in every aspect of our modern world from children toys to star war. It is anticipated that the needs for qualified Engineers will increase significantly in the whole world, and in particular in the Sultanate of Oman and the region.

We endeavor to uniquely position our students for success. We lay the foundations that make our students global Engineers, who lead our world forward. We adopt modern learning and teaching strategies that help students to develop their own knowledge, skills, critical thinking and innovation to become successful Engineers.

We, at GCET, strongly believe that our mission is not only to develop your Engineering skills but also to develop your personality and explore your talents. We strongly encourage you to participate in our sport, social and community activities in collaboration with the Students’ Council and the Students’ Services Unit. We are also very keen to hear from you through our Complaints, Comments and Suggestions, and the Dean’s Open Door policies and procedures.

On this website you can read about and hear from our staff and students, and you can learn about the Curriculum that brings the Engineering discipline together, as well as about our departments and the support services that we provide to develop your Engineering skills and knowledge.

For more information, please contact our Admissions and Registration Office. We look forward to hearing from you!

Finally, I wish you all the success and prosperity in your study. Remember, Engineering is the Future!

Dr. Tahseen Rafik
